markie is a musician, audiovisual artist, writer, and producer living halfway between Philadelphia and New York City. They have been making electronic music since 1997, pursuing a variety of projects under the heading of House Of The Model (markiemodel, the model, th model, the model productions). markie has also worked outside of the House, for instance, co-writing and production for Class Actress (over 35 million streams on Spotify; Pitchfork Reviews here and here; songs licensed for visual media including television episodes of Gossip Girl, Barry, Cheer as well as several films and advertisements). They recently completed production on a community-based song with Chad Price for the nonprofit collective Greater We, had some of their electronic musical work placed in a new film written and directed by Michael Mailer (son of the late Norman Mailer), and finished up a new album for Juliet.
